As part of the Umor Rex 15th anniversary, we are pleased to announce the release of our first chocolate bar called Xocolatl. This chocolate is accompanied by a musical piece composed by Sol Oosel called XXOXOXAXE, a three-part track inspired by Xocolatl.

Our sea salt chocolate was produced in Mexico City with "Selva Zoque" style cocoa fermented and dried in the sun, originally from Pichucalco (Chiapas). Salt from the Pacific Ocean of the coasts of the state of Guerrero, lightly sweetened with piloncillo (unsweetened cane sugar) from San Luis Potosí. Manufactured by La Rifa Chocolatería. For the ancient Mexicans, chocolate was the holy meal of the gods. Xocoatl, which is its name in náhuatl, comes from the words “xoco” (bitter) and “atl” (water).This sea salt chocolate evokes the origin of all things, the earth and the ocean creating new life and spreading it out.

Packaged in a silkscreened cardboard-box printed on 100% recycled stock (pochteca paper). Xocolatl was available only at Mi-So in Berlin and Kiyo Cafe in Oaxaca Mexico. The musical piece can be found on all digital platforms.
